Peace

Peace that surpasses all understanding. I have heard people talk about it over the years and even experienced a little myself a month ago, but it wasn't until this week that I fully understood.

A storm came blowing through my house last week. Not a mother nature weather storm but a life storm. A storm like the story of the three little pigs where the big bag wolf huff and puffed and tried to blow the house down. This storm has tried to rock my very core and only God has control over it.

In the past I would have dealt with this storm by getting angry, mad, yelling and even crying trying to figure out what to do. I would have been shaken to my very core. Not this time! This time I have a peace that surpasses all understanding. This time I have God as my pilot and he is steering my life in the direction He wants.

I used to want answers right away...what am I going to do, where do I go, what, what, what??? Now, I am patiently waiting on God. As my daughter and granddaughter prepare to move out of my home... I have peace and I am waiting patiently on God. As my husband and I deal with issues...I have peace and I am waiting patiently on God. As my middle daughter has asked to move back home...I have peace and I am waiting patiently on God. As my youngest daughter is acting out...I have peace and I am waiting patiently on God.

As I sit here today I am in AWE, total AWE of the GRACE I have been given by such an amazing God. I don't deserve peace. I don't deserve to be His child. Jesus suffered beatings so that we could be forgiven of our sins. Jesus suffered so that we could live eternally with Him. He suffered......

Thank you God for your grace. Thank you God for storms that help me to keep my focus on you. Thank you God for your constant love. Thank you God for the peace you generously give me. Thank you God!

"And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."   Philippians 4:7
